Research introduction for the general public

Anatomy research may not directly serve society! If it’s not going to be immediately useful, then let’s make it fascinating!

Veterinary anatomy is the most fundamental of the fundamentals within the life sciences. It is also a discipline that comprehensively and systematically integrates the anatomy, histology, and embryology of mammals. Our research focuses on mammals, including humans, as well as birds such as chickens. We study the structures of various organs and tissues within the body, carefully observe how these structures form, and examine their transformations. From this knowledge, we delve down to the molecular level to distinguish what is universal across species and what has diversified through evolution. In doing so, our laboratory, with a long-standing tradition, continues to pass on new insights in animal science to the next generation.

Educational approach

For People, for the Path, for Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine!

Educational Activities

I am in charge of lectures and practical training in the anatomy, histology, and embryology of dogs, cats, livestock, and poultry.

Goals for Human Resource Development

I aim to foster individuals who can demonstrate leadership in any field and create new things from scratch.

Track Record of Graduates

My graduates have gone on to diverse careers, including university professors, researchers at public and private institutions, national civil servants in agencies ranging from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Ministry of Finance, and even politicians (including members of the National Diet and cabinet ministers).

Vision for industry-academia collaboration

We're a Treasure Trove of Students with a Broad Perspective in Animal Science!

Our strength lies in undergraduate education within the fields of veterinary medicine and animal science. We hope to receive initial investment in the foundational education and research of our Veterinary Anatomy lab, as we are dedicated to fostering students with a wide range of knowledge in animal science and veterinary medicine.
