Research introduction for the general public

Exploring the creatures living in the soil!

・Research background: Different environments host different species. Why is that?
・Research content: Studying the relationship between ground beetles and their environment, and identifying soil animal species that vary by habitat.
・Future prospects: Providing fundamental data for biodiversity and ecosystem conservation, expected to be applied in the future.

Educational approach

Observation, imagination, and action!

To understand how organisms live, persistent observation and imaginative experiments are necessary. It is important to face organisms with a variety of ideas. Such observation, imagination, and action will be valuable in many situations after entering society.

Vision for industry-academia collaboration

Bottom-up approaches to solutions!

We now live in a world where biodiversity and ecosystem conservation are urgently needed. While top-down approaches exist, I am exploring bottom-up methods that focus on each species and individual to solve these issues.
