In recent years, Green Transformation (GX) in corporate management has expanded beyond decarbonization to encompass the integration of biodiversity, natural capital, and the broader “value of nature” into business strategies.
In this seminar, we welcome Professor Chika Saka (School of Business Administration, Kwansei Gakuin University), whose research specializes in sustainability disclosure, exploratory data analysis using accounting big data, and corporate valuation.
She will provide a lecture on “International Trends in Nature-related Financial Disclosure,” with a particular focus on developments in the EU and the emerging global landscape. In addition, as an example of efforts aimed at fostering a sustainable cycle between forest resources and local communities in Japan, Mr. Goro Tomoyasu from the Urban Development Strategy Office of Takenaka Corporation will introduce the project in the Kiso area.
This seminar is supported by the Environment Research and Technology Development Fund of the ERCA (JPMEERF 20241M03) funded by the Ministry of the Environment. This seminar is further supported and organized as part of the “Forestry GX Project,” based on the agreement between the University of Tokyo and the SMBC Group.
