First Author Meeting in Columbia (No.1)

　The Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) has selected Professor Ryo Kohsaka, Graduate School of Agricultural and Life Sciences, The University of Tokyo, as the Coordinating Lead Author (CLA) for the Methodological Assessment of the Impact and Dependence of Business on Biodiversity and Nature’s Contributions to People (Business and Biodiversity Assessment) as of May 12, 2023.

　Sixty-four experts from around the world, nominated by national governments and observer organizations, were selected by the Multidisciplinary Expert Panel (MEP), a subsidiary body of IPBES, and the Bureau, including Professor Kohsaka.

　As CLA, Professor Kohsaka is responsible for overseeing, writing and supervising the writing of Chapter 3 How does business impact biodiversity? of the Business and Biodiversity Assessment.
