We are pleased to announce that one of our outstanding students has been awarded a prestigious research grant:

Ms. Viktoria Blaschek (D2) – Recipient of the Sompo Environment Foundation Grant Program for Doctoral Course Students

This grant is awarded to students pursuing advanced academic research that promotes environmental conservation and sustainability and should help them to cover the costs of writing doctoral dissertations in the humanities and social sciences on environmental issues. The program aims to foster the development of future leaders in environmental protection and education.

Supported by this grant, Ms. Blaschek will advance her comparative research in Tokyo and Vienna on factors influencing citizen participation in edible urban landscapes. The funding will enable her to conduct fieldwork in both countries, gather empirical data, and share findings with stakeholders to foster community engagement and biodiversity-friendly city planning.

Congratulations on her remarkable achievement!
